R22 Phase Out…Why Should You Care As A Consumer?

You may have heard about R22 refrigerant being phased out. Well it is being phased out, and by the year 2020 all new production of this type of refrigerant will be stopped.

If you have already updated your air conditioning system to one which utilizes the new refrigerant, you’re in good shape. Otherwise you may want to take advantage of the rebates and incentives which are being offered, by most utility companies such as FPL, to upgrade your system.
